A 2016 Four Door Corvette from Down Under

Dateline October 2015: We should be seeing a four-door version of the Chevrolet Corvette arrive next year although it will not be wearing a Chevrolet badge and it will not be available in the US.

That is because the four-door model based on the Chevrolet Corvette will be built by Holden in Australia. It is reported that Holden is working on a four-door model base on the Corvette that will be coming in with a Commodore badge.

The Holden Commodore will be coming in with a ZR1 base exterior design. Under the hood is a supercharged LS9 V8 model that will be delivering about 638hp. With that, the Holden Commodore will be slotted above the Maloo GTS with its 577hp engine and the Senator HV with its 462hp engine.

The new Corvette base Holden Commodore is expected to come in with a $100,000 price tag.
