Add another tuning division to crack the 1,000 hp figure with a C7 Corvette Z06

Dateline November 2016: Latest to accomplish the feat is AMP (Advanced Modern Performance), and the dyno sheets don’t lie. What we have here is a beast.While running 93-octane gasoline, methanol injection and 22-pounds of boost, AMP has cracked 1,020 wheel hp and 833 wheel lb-ft of torque. Yowza.

According to LSXtv, the C7 Corvette Z06 was once pushing only 917 hp to the wheels, but some tweaking to ProCharger F-1X and four-inch intercooler piping allowed for the power jump to take place. And over 1,000 rwhp on pump gas is quite the accomplishment, since racing fuel would make this C7 Corvette a real rocket.

AMP will be in attendance at the 2015 SEMA Show to highlight its masterpiece, and the work gone into creating this beastly machine. It takes the C7 Z06’s nickname of “Big Nasty” and throws umpteen exclamation points right behind it.
