Pratt & Miller’s NEW 2025 Sebring Mobil Livery

Throwback to 1987 IMSA GT V6 4.5-Liter Turbo Corvette – 1,000 HP

Since 1999 the Pratt & Miller Corvette Racing Team has built and campaigned a string of world-class race cars. When I think about these cars, I think “bright yellow, with black trim, and a bad-ass Jake graphic. But not all of the P&M Corvettes have had such livery. So, everyone notices when the Pratt & Miller cars show up at the track without yellow and black livery.

The 2025 12 Hours of Sebring Pratt & Miller car’s livery is a nod and a tribute to the 1987 fire-breathing, #2 Protofab Mobil 1 Corvette. Corvette Racing’s Crew Chief, Dan Binks recently restored the #2 Protofab Corvette. Binks was the Corvette Racing Crew Chief for SIX 24 Hours of Le Mans Class wins. The twin-turbo V6 could make over 1,000 horsepower but was de-tuned to 800 horsepower for longevity in long-distance races.

In 2020 Gary and Robin Pratt were the special guests at Bill Tower’s “Corvette Racing Seminar”. I covered the event for Vette Vues which you can read HERE.
